Growth Mindset: An Explanation, How We Can Use it in Our Schools and the Supporting Role of Parents

What is meant by “Growth Mindset”? You might be hearing about it more and more from your children’s teachers and how they are using it in their classrooms. However, you might wonder, as a parent, how to encourage the growth mindset in your own home?

All parents, students and teachers (CEUs earned) are welcome to join us. Learn how the brain works, how to praise kids, how to encourage your children to challenge themselves and that it is ok to make mistakes because that is how we learn. The concept of a growth mindset will also be discussed from a parent’s standpoint at home, in school and in co-curricular activities. Be challenged to learn something about your own mindset as well. Question and Answer will follow presentation. Due to capacity limits, registration is required.
