Rosemount Irish Track Club – Speed and Power Summer Training (boys and girls, grades 2-12)

This program is very specific in nature to the development of each athlete’s speed and power. Programming will be written and implemented with a focus on research-based methods. Special emphasis will be placed on measuring and testing within each workout to monitor development. Sessions will be led by Rosemount High School track and field staff and athletes.

RHS Fit Kids (grades 2-3)

The emphasis of this starter program is on fitness and fun. Our goal is to introduce fitness to kids in a way that fosters future curiosity and confidence in sports of all types. Learn basic concepts of proper running and movement mechanics and develop body awareness, while having fun in a high-energy, constant motion environment.

RHS Foundations of Speed (grades 4-5)

This program focuses on proper movement, mechanics, athleticism and fun. The intent is to help prepare young athletes to excel in all types of sports by developing speed and power, at an age-appropriate level.

RHS Developmental Speed (grades 6-8)

This is a multi-sport athlete program that focuses on proper running mechanics, speed development, agility, plyometric training and adds a bit more volume and intensity. The emphasis of the program is to begin the process of training young athletes to develop explosive power and move efficiently.

RHS Sport Speed (grades 9-10)

This program is offered for the emerging high school athlete who is looking for further challenges and opportunities in developing speed, power and athleticism. The intent is to prepare the athlete for the competitive demands of playing high school sports at a high level.

RHS Elite Speed (grades 11-12)

Elite Speed is a high-intensity training program designed to improve speed and power. Participants refine proper running mechanics, first-step quickness, acceleration, top-end speed, multi-directional agility and explosive power. Sessions include speed drills, plyometrics and resistance work designed to help athletes perform at a higher level in any sport. Training is science-based and proven. Sessions are intended for varsity and aspiring varsity athletes.
