Lifeguarding Waterpark and/or Waterfront Module Renewal - Summer Session

This module is for the renewal of the Waterpark and/or Waterfront certification that can be added to a Lifeguard Renewal course.

Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the last day of the class

Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding plus Waterpark certifications

Skill Prerequisites:

• Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec.

• Tread water for 2 min. using legs only

• Waterpark: 300 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke

• Waterfront: 550 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke

• Waterfront: Swim 10 yd. underwater to retrieve three diving rings
