Lifeguarding Recertification - Fall Session

Renew American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard certifications.

Age Prerequisite: 16 years of age by the last day of the class

Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification

Skill Prerequisites:

• 300 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke
• Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec.
• Tread water for 2 min. using legs only

Waterfront and Waterpark full modules and renewal modules will be offered for those that successfully complete this course and would like to earn the additional certification to work at a beach or waterpark.
