Early Childhood Screening 09-21-2026 (September 21) **EXTENDED HOURS**

Join us at Early Childhood Screening as soon as your child turns 3 years 3 months old! 

This is a FREE and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Each child is different, so the sooner we see you, the more we can offer.

Screening helps ensure that all young children are well equipped for learning, and families are aware of resources and programs within our schools and also the community.  We can help your child build on their strengths to get ready for school learning.  

At what age should my child be screened? Ideally we screen children at 3 years 3 months old!  If your child is older, it is still time to schedule his/her Early Childhood Screening to check all areas of development including hearing, vision, height and weight before Kindergarten.

What information is gathered at screening? Watch and discover more about your child’s development and learning, such as:

• Thinking, language, and communication skills
• Social and emotional development
• Large and small muscle coordination
• Problem solving, following directions, and listening skills

Early Childhood screening is one way to support children in their early years of growth and development. It is also a way to identify children who may benefit from early childhood services before they enter school and connects families with the appropriate resources and programs.

What do I need to bring for this appointment?

• Document that verifies your child's age (such as a birth certificate or passport)
