Da Capo Choir-Deerwood (Grade 3-5)

If your child loves to sing, Da Capo is a wonderful opportunity to share their passion for music while learning and performing with others!

The District 196 Music Department, in partnership with District 196 Community Education, is excited to offer Deerwood Da Capo Choir for students in grades 3–5. Da Capo is a non-auditioned choir that focuses on vocal technique, music reading, and artistic expression in a fun and educational setting. Students will also have the opportunity to perform as part of an ensemble.

Rehearsals

The choir meets once a week after school for eight weeks. When registering, please choose Monday or Wednesday. Space is limited, so students must attend the day they select and cannot switch between groups from week to week.

National Anthem Performance
Students will have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at an Eagan High School basketball game in December. The date and time are TBD.

Additional Information

Choir rehearsals and performances have been intentionally scheduled around 5th grade band, student council, and most Deerwood after-school classes.

Registration deadline: Wednesday, September 9
Singers will receive confirmation regarding the status of their registration on Thursday, September 10.
