Weld the steel to encase the stone and mount it on a steel rod with more welding. Discuss safety and art design for sculpture. Using argon gas, bond metal to metal without the use of rods, sticks or wire feeds. Wear long sleeve cotton shirt, jeans or heavy duty work pants, and closed toe leather shoes or boots.
