The District 196 Music Department, in partnership with District 196 Community Education, is excited to offer Deerwood Da Capo Choir for students in grades 3–5. Da Capo is a non-auditioned choir that focuses on vocal technique, music reading, and artistic expression in a fun and educational setting. Students will also have the opportunity to perform as part of an ensemble. Rehearsals The choir meets once a week after school for eight weeks. When registering, please choose Monday or Wednesday. Space is limited, so students must attend the day they select and cannot switch between groups from week to week. Dad and MeExtended Age GroupsParents With Children Ages Birth-6 Years Separating Fathers of all types have an important relationship with their children that is instrumental in their development. Join together in a community of men to learn, share and play while building a support system rooted in fatherhood. This group will focus on quality time with our kids, including gym time. Relaxed discussions about parenting and what it means to be a dad are included. Bring your experiences as a father, or father figure, to share with the group and take home new tips and ideas from both other dads and our parenting educator.
